Why we show the count
A perfect rating with no number
is not a good sign.
Research on local business reviews is consistent: people don't start trusting an average rating until there are roughly 40 reviews behind it, and review count moves purchasing decisions more than the rating itself. A business showing "5.0 ★★★★★" with nothing else is either very new or hiding something.
We also keep the four-star reviews up. Two rain reschedules is a real thing that happened to a real customer, and pretending otherwise would make every other review here less believable.
